This week was mostly focused on making older-version navigation and editor selection feel less surprising. Nothing too fancy, but sometimes shipping less code is the right move!

What shipped

Changed the old-version warning so it only appears for explicitly linked older document versions, not unversioned routes. The toast now reuses a stable ID for old versions of the same document, avoiding duplicate warning noise. See commit 62a493b4.

Preserved shift-click text selection on links by preventing link navigation from stealing the interaction while still letting ProseMirror handle range selection. The block hover prediction cone also updates its origin while the pointer remains inside the current block. See commit 0bdddc21.

Notes

This week was about restraint. The fixes were small, but they protected basic editor expectations: clicking a historical version should warn only when it matters, and selecting text should not accidentally become navigation.
